Street Ministry 7

Pastor available 24 hours for emergency needs — children, women, we're here to help.

Led by Pastor Jayson Van Beek. Meeting people where they are — on the street, in hiding, out of options — with the love of Jesus Christ, help with everyday needs until they're stable, and a safe bridge to the help that already exists.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives…”

Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)

Our mission

No one left without a way forward.

This ministry reaches the people who fall through the cracks: women caught in sex trafficking who couldn't get help from the system, children hiding from men who are out to get them, and people experiencing homelessness whose resources are gone or were never there.

Pastor Jayson shares the good news of Jesus Christ, meets daily needs until people are stable, and works alongside local authorities so the help that's already available actually reaches the people who need it — and they stay safe.

Who we serve

The people the system missed

Women escaping trafficking

Women caught in sex trafficking who reached out and couldn't get the help they needed from the system.

Children in hiding

Children hiding from men who are out to get them, who need someone safe to stand with them.

People experiencing homelessness

Men and women on the street with no resources, or whose resources have run out.

The heart of this ministry

Isaiah 61:1–6 (KJV)

1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

4And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Isaiah 61:1–6 (KJV)

Pastor Jayson's story

A life turned around

Jayson came through Teen Challenge in Duluth, Minnesota. His life has been cleaned up, for real.

Now he spends it reaching people who are out of options and in need of hope. Along the way, friends stood with him. Now he does the same for others.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
